Delegate Strength

The Rules for the 2025-2026 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election ("Rules") require the preliminary calculation of delegate strength for each Local Union, System Federation, and General Committee of Adjustment ("GCA") electing delegates to the 31st International Convention. See Rules, Timetable of Events and Art. II § 3(c). The preliminary delegate strength figures are used as a basis for the nomination and election of delegates through 2025 and the winter of 2026. The IBT Constitution requires the preliminary determination to be made based on average membership over a two-year period ending on November 30, 2024. See IBT Constitution, Art. VII, § 5(a). A final determination of delegate strength will be made based on average membership over a two-year period ending on February 28, 2026. See IBT Constitution, Art. VII, Sec. 5(b).
