IN RE: WILLIAM GRIGSBY, CRAIG HAMMACK and ISOM FOLSON,
Eligibility Decision 2001 EAD 169
Issued: February 15, 2001
OEA Case Nos.: E013018SO, E013019SO, and E0130110SO

On January 28, 2001, Local 480 held its nomination meeting for delegate and alternate delegate elections. On January 30, 2001, Kennie George, the local's secretary-treasurer, sent the Election Administrator a letter stating that he was questioning the eligibility of three candidates who had been nominated at that meeting, namely, William Grigsby, Craig Hammack and Isom Folson. He stated that he needed clarification as to these members' eligibility. The Election Administrator acknowledged his letter as a timely-filed protest as to all three candidates.

Subsequent to receiving George's letter, the Election Administrator's office investigated his concerns and contacted George. As a result of his conversations with investigators from the Election Administrator's office, George decided that he no longer wished to pursue his original concerns as to these members' eligibility. Thus, on February 9, 2001, George transmitted a letter to the Election Administrator's office in which he formally requested the Election Administrator to disregard his prior concerns with regard to the three members' eligibility.

The Election Administrator ACCEPTS George's request to disregard his earlier concerns with the eligibility of William Grigsby, Craig Hammack, and Isom Folson. Accordingly, we determine this matter RESOLVED.

Any interested party not satisfied with this determination may request a hearing before the Election Appeals Master within two (2) working days of receipt of this decision.
