Re:  Election Office Case No. E-041-LU509-EOH

Gentlepersons:

An eligibility protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b)(1) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election (Rules) by

Stephanie Ganaway, a member of Local Union 509.  The protester contended that the Election Officer had improperly determined her to be ineligible to run for delegate or alternate delegate to the International convention.  Ms. Ganaway now advises the Election Officer that she wishes to withdraw her protest.  The Election Officer, finding that the withdrawal effectuates the purpose of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.

Any interested party not satisfied with this determination may request a hearing before the Election Appeals Master within one day of receipt of this letter.  The parties are reminded that, absent extraordinary circumstances, no party may rely upon evidence that was not presented to the Office of the Election Officer in any such appeal.  Requests for a hearing shall be made in writing and shall be served on:
