IN RE: ANGELO CHICK, JR., Protestor.
Protest Decision 2006 ESD 237
Issued: May 30, 2006
OES Case No. P-06-156-021706-NE

Angelo Chick, Jr., a member and delegate candidate from BLE&T Division 227, filed a pre-election protest pursuant to Article XIII, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 2005-2006 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election ("Rules"). The protest alleged that the Office for BLE&T General Committee 300 failed to provide information on distributing campaign literature or the opportunity to view the affixing of address labels to campaign literature; further, the protest alleged that the election plan summary distributed to division membership did not detail the procedure that would insure secure receipt of voted ballots or provide instructions regarding how to vote for a slate.

By facsimile dated May 10, 2006, the protestor requested to withdraw his protest.

Accordingly, we grant the protestor's request and deem this protest WITHDRAWN.
