IN RE: GABRIEL SALCIDO, Protestor.
Protest Decision 2006 ESD 356
Issued: September 26, 2006
OES Case No. P 06 328-083006-FW

Gabriel Salcido, member and vice president of Local Union 439, filed a pre election protest pursuant to Article XIII, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 2005 2006 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election ("Rules"). The protest alleged that the local union and its principal officer, Sam Rosas, violated the Rules by endorsing, sponsoring and authorizing a petition demanding that Salcido resign his elected position with the local union because of his support for the Leedham slate.

By email dated September 15, 2006, counsel for the protestor requested to withdraw the protest.

Accordingly, we deem this protest WITHDRAWN.
