IN RE: MIGDALIA MAGRIZ AND SILVIA RIVERA, Protesters.
	Protest Decision 2011 ESD 183
	Issued: March 23, 2011
	OES Case No. P-173-022411-SO
Migdalia Magriz and Silvia Rivera, members of Local Union 901 and candidates for delegate on a slate opposing the slate comprised of local union officers, filed a pre-election protest pursuant to Article XIII, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 2010-2011 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election ("Rules"). The protest alleged that Local Union 901 intentionally failed to notify the protestors' employer that the protestors were the duly elected stewards for the employer's employees; the protest further alleged that the purpose for failing to give such notice was to influence the outcome of the delegates' election, in violation of the Rules.
By email sent March 10, 2011, the protesters through their counsel requested to withdraw the protest.
Finding that permitting withdrawal is consistent with the purposes of the Rules, we deem this protest WITHDRAWN.
