IN RE: HOFFA-HALL 2011,                       )           Protest Decision 2011 ESD 292

                                                                        )           Issued: June 30, 2011

Protestor.                                           )           OES Case Nos. P-297-063011-NA

____________________________________)

Hoffa-Hall 2011 filed a pre-election protest pursuant to Article III, Section 5(n) of the Rules for the 2010-2011 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election (“Rules”).  The protest alleged that Fred Gegare and Sandy Pope, candidates for General President, engaged in impermissible campaigning during the acceptance statement each made on the fourth day of the IBT convention on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

By email received June 30, counsel for the protestor requested to withdraw the protest.  Finding that withdrawal furthers the purposes of the Rules, we deem this protest WITHDRAWN.
