Gentlemen:
A pre-election protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Officer Election (“Rules”) by Gary L. Gregory, a member of Local Union 135. The protester alleged that Local Union 135 President John L. Neal failed to provide the protester, a candidate for delegate, with a complete copy of the Local Union’s worksite list, in violation of the Rules. Mr. Gregory now advises the Election Officer that he wishes to withdraw his protest. The Election Officer, finding that such withdrawal effectuates the purpose of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.
