RE: Election Office Case No. P-148-LU135-SCE

Gentlemen:

A pre-election protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Officer Election (“Rules”) by Gary L. Gregory, a member of Local Union 135.  The protester alleged that agents of Local Union 135 and C-F Motor Freight refused access to a worksite bulletin board to candidates on the Jimmy Goodnight Slate.  This protest relates solely to Local Union election matters.  Mr. Gregory now advises the Election Officer that he wishes to withdraw his protest.  The Election Officer, finding that such withdrawal effectuates the purpose of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.

Sincerely,

Barbara Zack Quindel

Election Officer
