Re:  Election Office Case No. P-198-LU272-NYC

Gentlemen:

A pre-election protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Officer Election (“Rules”) by Raul E. Coronado, a member of Local Union 272 and candidate for delegate to the International convention.  The protester alleged that his request to view the local union’s worksite list and election plan had been refused, in violation of the Rules.  Mr. Coronado now advises the Election Officer that he wishes to withdraw his protest.  The Election Officer, finding that such withdrawal effectuates the purpose of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.

Sincerely,

Barbara Zack Quindel

Election Officer
