Re:  Election Office Case No. P-291-LU385-SEC

Gentlemen:

A pre-election protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Officer Election (“Rules”) by Les Jackson, a member of Local Union 385.  Mr. Jackson contended that his employer retaliated against him by issuing him a warning notice due to his candidacy for International vice president. The protester now advises the Election Officer that the warning notice has been withdrawn and that he wishes to withdraw his protest.  The Election Officer, finding that such withdrawal effectuates the purpose of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.

Sincerely,

Barbara Zack Quindel

Election Officer
