Dear Mr. Medinger:
A pre-election protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Officer Election (“Rules”) by Peter Medinger, a member of Local Union 355. He contended that Local Union 355’s nominations meeting should have been postponed due to inclement weather. Mr. Medinger now advises the Election Officer that he wishes to withdraw this protest. The Election Officer, finding that such withdrawal effectuates the purpose of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.
