Gentlemen:
A pre-election protest was filed pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Officer Election (“Rules”) by John M. Mozena, a member of Local Union 24. Mr. Mozena contended that the local union business agent instructed the local union president to remove campaign literature the protester had placed on vehicle windshields. The protester now advises the Election Officer that he desires to withdraw his protest. The Election Officer, finding that such withdrawal effectuates the purpose of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.
