Re:  Election Office Case No. P-1090-LU150-PNW

Gentlepersons:

Jake Workman, a business agent of Local Union 150, filed a pre-election protest pursuant to Article XIV, Section 2(b) of the Rules for the 1995-1996 IBT International Union Delegate and Officer Election (Rules).  He alleges that derogatory material concerning the Teamsters for a Democratic Union (TDU), of which he is an active member, was being posted in and around the Local Union 150 hall.  He also alleges that by allowing the material to be displayed, the local union is discriminating against him, in violation of the Rules

Mr. Workman now advises the Election Officer that he wishest to withdraw his protest.

The Election Officer, finding that the withdrawal effectuates the purposes of the Rules, permits the protest to be WITHDRAWN.

Any interested party not satisfied with this determination may request a hearing before the Election Appeals Master within one day of receipt of this letter.  The parties are reminded that, absent extraordinary circumstances, no party may rely upon evidence that was not presented to the Office of the Election Officer in any such appeal.  Requests for a hearing shall be made in writing and shall be served on:
